RESEARCH

My research activities currently revolve around the following main topics:

  • Serverless computing in the Edge-Cloud Continuum: architectures, scheduling and offloading strategies, and dynamic resource management for Function-as-a-Service across the Edge-cloud Continuum.

  • Runtime Performance Management: performance modeling and optimization of distributed applications, focusing in particular on AI/ML inference workloads.

SOFTWARE

Serverledge

A Function-as-a-Service framework designed for Edge-Cloud environments, presented at IEEE PerCom ‘23. Serverledge relies on a decentralized architecture with no centralized gateways for function invocations, supporting horizontal and vertical function execution offloading. Written in Go.
